The Village of Aspen Lake has an exciting opportunity for Unscheduled Part Time Cooks to join their team.

• Location: 9855 McHugh St. Windsor, Ontario
• Position Type: UNSCHEDULED PART TIME


The hiring rate for this role is $22.82 per collective agreement/employee association agreement.

As our new COOK you will:

  • Create exceptional mealtime experiences for our residents and their families through the provision of delicious and well-balanced meals, fostering exemplary relationships with residents and their families while focusing on flexible dining and customer service.
  • Be able to lift up to 35lbs;
  • Follow meal plans in accordance with Physicians orders and nutritional guidelines, and are able to lead other team members in pursuit of a resident-centered dining experience.
  • Support and embrace our resident-centered social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of service to our residents, visitors, and team members through comprehensive and effective support

It would be an asset if you have:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets
  • Produced food in large quantities, preferably in a hospital or long-term care setting
  • Have proven leadership abilities
  • Contribute toward a resident-centered care approach ensuring respect and dignity to all residents.
  • Worked as a co-operative team member
