Job description

Overview
Loading Dock Staff oversee loading dock operations during event move-in, show hours, and move-out. This position ensures a safe, organized, and efficient environment for clients, exhibitors, vendors, and staff. Dock Staff coordinate closely with Event Managers and Public Safety personnel to maintain operational control, safety compliance, and facility protection.
This role pays an hourly rate of $15.00

Responsibilities
  • Monitor dock activity during event move-in, show times, and move-out.
  • Follow event-specific instructions provided by Event Managers.
  • Direct operational questions or concerns to an Event Manager or Public Safety representative.
  • Ensure all individuals entering the dock area have a valid dock pass.
  • Place an oil pan underneath the vehicle.
  • Ensure only authorized vehicles park in the dock area.
  • Direct drivers to appropriate parking areas.
  • Attempt to identify drivers and associate them with their vehicles.
  • Assist with staging and parking emergency vehicles when necessary.
  • Maintain a safe and controlled loading dock environment at all times.
  • Keep all fire lanes clear.
  • Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times.
  • Ensure dock entryways are secure before leaving post.
