About the Position

The Fulfillment Operations Generalist gets to the heart of the ButcherBox business, managing our fulfillment process to ensure our members' boxes are packed with accuracy and care. Through excellent collaboration and problem-solving, you work closely with our 3PLs to drive efficiencies within our operations and strengthen our vendor relationships.

You are a strong communicator, proactive, and excited to handle the unexpected. You have a flexible mindset and see all roadblocks are opportunities to problem-solve.

This is a 5 month contract, with an average of 25 hours per week

Shift: Weekdays 4:00-9:00 AM EST

Pay Rate: $25-30/hour

Responsibilities:

  • Manage shipment of products from order to delivery
  • Track data and anticipate problems providing seamless customer experience
  • Partner cross-functionally within BB to resolve issues
  • Manage our member order fulfillment process by ensuring daily order distribution to our fulfillment centers
  • Collaborate and communicate with fulfillment centers daily to review operations, order fulfillment, variations to fulfillment plan and identify & resolve raised issues.
  • Act as an owner and be a main point of contact for the fulfillment centers
  • Track fulfillment KPIs and work with the fulfillment centers to drive improvements
  • Manage member order fulfillment queue and ensure orders are distributed to our fulfillment centers per the ButcherBox distribution rules
  • Handle product substitutions, when necessary, ensuring compliance with ButcherBox substitution policies
  • Communicate with facilities daily to review operations, order fulfillment, variations to plan and identify/resolve raised issues
  • Coordinate with the Logistics team to coordinate weekly carrier optimization, track actual vs. expected delivery times, and identify and work to resolve issues in the carrier network
  • Communicate with the Customer Support and Customer Experience teams to address operations and logistics issues
  • Work with other Operations team members to understand/monitor the inventory levels and ensure adequate inventory is maintained

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and coordinate fulfillment processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with 3PLs or in a direct-to-consumer fulfillment environment.
  • Understanding of e-commerce operations, inventory systems, and order management platforms.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance processes and cost optimization strategies.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering or technical teams to improve operational tools.
