Marketing & Communications Coordinator (Part-Time )

Location: Denver, CO (Onsite with potential for hybrid after training)
Schedule: Part-Time (Approximately 15–20 hours per week; flexible based on candidate availability)
Compensation: $28-29/hr

Our Non-Profit client is seeking a creative, organized, and collaborative Marketing & Communications Coordinator to provide support for their growing Marketing & Communications team in Denver, Colorado.

Over the past several years, the marketing department has experienced significant growth in both internal requests and organization-wide initiatives. As the team continues to support new campaigns, events, and marketing projects, they are looking to add a part-time professional who can help alleviate the increasing workload and keep projects moving efficiently.

This position is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing creative marketing work with project coordination, digital communications, and administrative support in a fast-paced, mission-driven organization. While this is initially a temporary assignment, there may be an opportunity for the role to become permanent based on organizational needs and future funding.

What You'll Do Marketing & Content Creation
  • Develop and update marketing materials including brochures, presentations, flyers, event collateral, promotional materials, and branded communications.
  • Create, schedule, and manage engaging social media content across multiple platforms.
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and promotional communications.
  • Support marketing initiatives for organizational programs, fundraising campaigns, events, and community outreach efforts.
  • Help launch new marketing campaigns while ensuring projects stay on schedule despite changing priorities.
Website & Digital Communications
  • Maintain website content by publishing updates, uploading photos, and ensuring information remains accurate and current.
  • Monitor online reviews and respond professionally while escalating sensitive matters when appropriate.
  • Manage third-party digital platforms and coordinate with vendors regarding content updates, user access, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain consistency across all digital platforms and communication channels while ensuring brand standards are upheld.
Marketing Operations
  • Assist with CRM maintenance, contact segmentation, campaign reporting, and marketing analytics.
  • Organize and maintain marketing templates, photography, digital assets, and communication resources.
  • Support campaign planning and help manage multiple concurrent marketing projects.
  • Ensure all marketing materials align with organizational branding and messaging standards.
Administrative & Project Coordination
  • Coordinate meetings, calendars, agendas, meeting materials, and document action items.
  • Provide logistical support for marketing events, community outreach initiatives, and internal projects.
  • Track sponsorship commitments, deliverables, renewals, project timelines, and key deadlines.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure projects stay on schedule.
  • Assist the marketing team with day-to-day administrative responsibilities while helping prioritize incoming requests.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Experience using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Experience maintaining website content through WordPress, Squarespace, or another CMS.
  • Familiarity with social media management platforms, Google Workspace, Google Business Profile, and email marketing software such as Mailchimp or HubSpot.
  • Experience working with CRM systems and marketing analytics is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional proofreading abilities.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, shifting priorities, and tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.
Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Outgoing, personable, and comfortable building relationships across the organization.
  • A confident communicator who enjoys collaborating with others and contributing new ideas.
  • Adaptable and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working independently once trained.
  • Open to feedback and eager to contribute to a collaborative team culture.
  • Passionate about supporting meaningful community initiatives through effective marketing and communications.
Work Environment
  • This position will begin fully onsite to allow for onboarding and training.
  • After demonstrating success in the role, there may be an opportunity for a limited hybrid schedule based on departmental needs and performance.
  • The schedule is flexible, and the organization is willing to work with the right candidate to determine an arrangement that best supports both the individual and the team.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a collaborative, mission-driven organization where your creativity and organizational skills will directly support impactful programs and community initiatives. You'll gain hands-on experience across digital marketing, communications, branding, project management, and event support while working alongside a close-knit and highly collaborative marketing team.
