Job Summary:

The General Services Coordinator supervises and coordinates general services field activities that support safe and efficient construction execution on Manufacturing & Technology (M&T) projects. This role oversees assigned craft, subcontractors, and service providers supporting temporary facilities, site logistics, construction utilities, tools, equipment, materials, housekeeping, waste management, and other indirect construction services. The coordinator works closely with construction management, field engineering, project controls, contracts, procurement, and other project stakeholders to plan work, manage resources, monitor performance, and ensure activities meet project safety, quality, schedule, cost, and procedural requirements.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate assigned general services activities, including craft, subcontractor, and service-provider work.
  • Plan daily work, determine workforce and resource needs, and monitor execution to support safe, productive site operations.
  • Coordinate operational plans with construction management, field engineering, project controls, procurement, contracts, subcontractors, and other disciplines.
  • Review subcontractor schedules, work methods, resource plans, material needs, and equipment requirements for alignment with project execution plans.
  • Track progress, quantities, costs, schedules, and resource forecasts; prepare reports and communicate status, risks, and required actions.
  • Support field changes, requests for information, change notices, amendments, and subcontract or vendor scope inputs.
  • Oversee tools, equipment, materials, deliveries, storage, and temporary facility needs to keep work moving efficiently.
  • Ensure work follows current design documents, approved changes, project procedures, safety expectations, and quality requirements.
  • Support team development through coaching, competency development, feedback, and continuous learning.
Education and Experience Requirements:

Typically requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.

Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Skilled in field supervision of general services, indirect construction support, temporary facilities, logistics, utilities, tools, equipment, and consumables.
  • Knowledge of construction planning, scheduling, progress reporting, resource forecasting, project controls, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Ability to review work plans, work packages, schedules, material requirements, staffing
  •  plans, and equipment plans for project alignment.
  • Strong understanding of ES&H, the Zero Accident Philosophy, quality requirements, project procedures, safe work planning, work rules, and documentation requirements.
  • Sound judgment in resolving field coordination issues, resource constraints, interface conflicts, and execution challenges while building productive relationships with supervisors, craft, subcontractors, functional teams, and client representatives.
  • Proficiency with construction automation tools, reporting systems, and field execution processes.
