Your Opportunity
You will serve as the Owner's/Client's senior scheduling expert on complex, high-value capital construction projects. Operating primarily on-site in Cincinnati across multiple active construction locations and the client's permanent office, you will provide independent oversight, deep schedule analysis, and strategic guidance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a highly autonomous environment, is confident engaging directly with contractors and client leadership, and brings advanced mastery of Primavera P6 and Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling.
Your Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed technical reviews of contractor-developed baseline schedules.
  • Evaluate logic ties, sequencing, constraints, float integrity, and critical path validity.
  • Assess schedule realism, constructability, and compliance with contract requirements.
  • Review and validate monthly schedule updates and analyze variances.
  • Monitor critical and near-critical paths to identify emerging delay risks.
  • Review Time Impact Analyses (TIA) and evaluate Extension of Time (EOT) requests.
  • Perform forensic schedule analysis when required.
  • Identify early warning indicators of schedule slippage and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Lead schedule review meetings and provide data-driven feedback to contractors.
  • Translate complex schedule data into clear, executive-level insights for client leadership.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and deep expertise in CPM analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently review, challenge, and validate contractor schedules.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience supporting delay analysis, claims review, and forensic schedule evaluation.
  • Ability to operate confidently with client PM and technical staff in a Progressive Design-Build environment.
  • Familiarity with schedule risk analysis tools.
  • Strong credibility with both client and contractor teams, supported by a track record of identifying schedule risks early and providing actionable recommendations.
  • PMI-SP or similar certification preferred.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of construction scheduling experience on very large capital projects.
  • Experience supporting infrastructure, water/wastewater, transportation, or large commercial programs.
  • Significant experience with Progressive Design-Build projects.
  • Prior involvement in multiple projects exceeding $100M in value.
  • Experience in owner's representative or client advisory roles is strongly preferred.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
