Job description

Are you tired of making $12 or less per hour with other security companies?

We are actively hiring experienced and dependable Security Officers to work at various sites in the metro Detroit area.

NOTE: All new hires will be required to work weekends, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Specific Duties and Essential Functions:

  • Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
  • Some sites will be concierge approach positions located inside the designated building
  • Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
  • Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in case of fire or the presence of unauthorized persons
  • Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
  • Permit authorized persons to enter the property and monitor entrances and exits
  • Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
  • Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
  • Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must stay alert during shift work for periods of time with little outside stimuli and must have a good sense of judgment during difficult situations
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Background check will be required
  • Must have a valid driver's license and your own reliable vehicle with auto insurance
  • Requires the use of your own cell phone
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and be able to list as much as 25 pounds as well as open/close heavy gates.
