A Brief Overview
A Tool Technician has a high level of expertise and ability to diagnose and repair a variety of power tools and equipment.

Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00am-1:00pm
What you will do

  • Diagnose and make repairs on pneumatic tools such as power nailers & staplers.
  • Disassemble tools and use testing devices to identify problems.
  • Follow manufacturer directions and warranty requirements when installing products.
  • Use technical manuals to determine required replacement parts and assemble tools based on manufacturer’s guidelines.
  • Track time and materials as required for each repair job.
  • Prepare paperwork and keep stock of repair parts.
  • Operate all equipment in safe and responsible manner.
  • Train entry-level technicians on proper techniques and methods.
  • Receive threaded mechanical fasteners ensuring correct item, price and quantity shipped.
  • Deliver products to customers.
  • Manage inventory stock for customers which includes recording inventory needed for replenishment, reporting to buyer items needed for order, deliver stock and restocking product as per customer request.
  • Provide quality customer service.
  • Attend all training to learn new technology.
  • Cross-train in other areas to expand knowledge and expertise.

Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.


Experience Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience repairing power tools required.
  • Combination of power tool repair training from a vocational school required.


Skills and Abilities

  • Good mechanical skills and understanding of schematics and diagrams
  • Must be computer literate, organized and accurate
  • Occasional heavy lifting up to 70 lbs
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must have knowledge of threaded mechanical fasteners
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
