Overtown Youth Center is seeking a dedicated and passionate Family Support Specialist (Part-Time) to join our team at our Broward location: 1602 S 27th Avenue, Hollywood, FL 33020.
This role is perfect for an individual who is committed to empowering youth and families by providing holistic, community-focused services that promote well-being and success. The Family Support Specialist will coordinate and manage program elements, build strong community partnerships, and connect families to resources through a referral system. The Family Support Specialist inspires, empowers, and enriches the lives of families by delivering holistic, community-centered services that lead to meaningful and measurable outcomes. This position is responsible for implementing and managing program components that support the overall well-being, growth, and success of the children and families we serve.
Requirements
  • At least 2 to 3 years of experience working with adults/youth programs required.
  • Experience in Community outreach.
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred; additional qualifications or certifications a plus.
  • Bi-lingual (Creole/Spanish) preferred.
  • Moderate computer skills (Microsoft Office) are necessary. Ability to learn web-based data systems.
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude with a strong ability to adapt to changing needs. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass drug screening and Level 2 background check.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as needed.
