Paramark Corp is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a part-time Maintenance Technician. This position is designed to be very flexible, at 28 hours per week. The selected individual will provide maintenance services for two properties: one in DeWitt, IA, and the other in Cordova, IL.

Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Technician, you will oversee daily maintenance operations and ensure the upkeep of the property under the guidance of the Property Manager and Regional Manager. A typical day may consist of such tasks as:
  • Diagnosing and performing minor and routine maintenance in a timely fashion
  • Ensure all service requests are completed daily
  • Accurately document work performed through our electronic work order system
  • Inspect vacated units and create make-ready checklists
  • Complete special projects as assigned and prioritized by the Property Manager
  • Inspect the exterior of the property for needed preventative maintenance or repairs
  • Complete or oversee the completion of the preventative maintenance or repairs
  • Order parts and supplies and maintain inventory
  • Obtain bids and negotiate pricing from outside vendors and contractors
  • Perform emergency maintenance (after hours) as needed
  • Coordinate with the Property Manager daily
  • Perform and report on all work according to the safety standards of the company, OSHA, and health codes
  • Keep work areas clean and tidy daily
  • Promote positive public relations with residents, co-workers, and company staff by maintaining a friendly, courteous attitude.

Requirements
  • Experience with HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, minor electrical, etc.
  • Experience with hand tools, including tape measure, square, level, hand saw, chisel, cutters, pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, etc.
  • Experience with power tools, including grinders, drills, various saws, rotary hammers, sanders, routers, planers, nail guns, air compressors, etc.
  • Experience with mechanical equipment, including motors, pumps, compressors, and blowers.
  • Experience with measuring devices such as voltmeters, multimeters, ohmmeters, PH tests, etc.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to use email
  • Yardi / Voyager experience preferred
  • Be organized and efficient.
  • Be accountable and responsible.
  • Be able to function as a team player
