Job description

SUMMARY:ย  WFMT (classical music radio station) is looking for a Radio Announcer. Serving in a part-time capacity to cover staff absences, the Radio Announcer hosts live or pre-recorded classical music shifts on WFMT and voices other content as assigned, with focus on listener enjoyment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Host classical music on-air shifts on an occasional, part-time basis.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  May voice other content including promos, commercial announcements, fundraising content, or other content, as assigned.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  May participate in the processing of audio assets for broadcast, including ingesting audio, checking WideOrbit assets and playlists, and similar tasks.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience with live and pre-recorded on-air radio hosting/announcing.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Knowledge of classical music repertoire and artists.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Familiarity with radio broadcast systems and experience operating broadcast equipment as a radio announcer.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Strong computer skills and facility with Microsoft Office applications, Google Drive, and MusicMaster, and audio applications such as Adobe Audition and WideOrbit.

This position requires membership into SAG-AFTRA.
