Job description

The Community Impact Team at Angel City serves as the bridge between the Club and the community, managing relationships with nonprofit partners, volunteerism, grants, donations, and game day activations that spotlight community programming and resources. Angel City's community efforts are supported through the Club's unique 10% Sponsorship Model and Angel City Impact, the nonprofit arm of Angel City FC.
The Community Ambassador will support Angel City's community impact initiatives through event planning and execution, program support, community partnerships, volunteer opportunities, and game day activations. This individual will also have the opportunity to shadow members of the Community Impact team to gain exposure to various roles and functions within the department.
This is a temporary, part-time hourly position reporting to the Senior Manager of Community Impact. The role will run from June 2026 through December 2026.
Key Responsibilities
  • Attend and keep minutes for meetings between community partners and club representatives.
  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of Community Impact events and programs.
  • Support game day activations, including oversight of the Community Impact Booth, pre-game and halftime activations, transportation coordination for community groups, and addressing Community Impact needs throughout match days.
  • Support the execution and management of Angel City volunteer events.
  • Track and update metrics related to Community Impact programs, partners, and events.
  • Attend offsite meetings and community events, including transporting materials and equipment as needed.
  • Assist with additional Community Impact projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age by the start of employment.
  • Understanding of soccer culture preferred.
  • Excellent communication, written, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment that includes commuting to BMO Stadium, Angel City FC Headquarters in Santa Monica, and community events throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
  • Availability to work all home match days and non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to support event and game day setup, including lifting and carrying materials up to 40 pounds and working outdoors for extended periods.
  • Maintain professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Zoom, and Asana preferred.
  • Personable, proactive, organized, and collaborative team player who believes in the mission and values of Angel City FC and the NWSL.
  • Bilingual with fluency in Spanish preferred.

Compensation
This is a temporary, part-time position averaging approximately 10-15 hours per week from June 2026 through December 2026. Compensation ranges from $20-$25 per hour.
