Job description

Trinity Episcopal Church is seeking a creative, organized, and collaborative Communications Specialist to support our parish communications and outreach to the wider community. This part-time position works closely with the Rector, church staff, vestry, and volunteers to share information, promote events, and strengthen Trinity’s presence across print, digital, web, and social media channels.


Key Responsibilities

  • Produce weekly Sunday bulletins, newsletters, announcements, and seasonal materials
  • Create brochures, flyers, posters, postcards, banners, and other promotional materials
  • Develop marketing and communications for church events, special services, and programs
  • Create and manage weekly digital SPIRE newsletters and Constant Contact communications
  • Maintain and update the church website, including content development, SEO, and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Manage Trinity’s social media presence and develop engaging social media content
  • Support promotion of Music Under the Spire, including advertising, social media, concert programs, signage, and other materials
  • Assist the Rector with communications and special projects as needed
  • Bring fresh ideas, perspectives, and creative approaches to Trinity’s communications

Preferred Tools & Experience

Experience with some or all of the following is preferred:

Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Canva, Constant Contact, and Linktree.

This is a part-time position reporting to the Rector and working as an integral member of the Trinity church office team.
