Job Description:
Under the direction of the Pool Bar Asst. Manager, the server is responsible for serving both food and beverage to guests throughout the pool bar and surrounding area ensuring a positive guest experience.
Essential Job Functions:
- Greet and serves guests in a timely and courteous manner.
- Take guest orders, serve food, and drinks.
- Is familiar with all menu specifications and abbreviations.
- Adheres to food & beverage policies, procedures, state liquor laws and all related manual material.
- Collect various forms of payment in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Knowledgeable of restaurant (ordering) systems; expediting systems.
- Communicates with kitchen expeditor; checks order duplicates for correctness; communicates discrepancies to the expeditor.
- Completes all set-up and closing duties in a timely fashion.
- Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
- Handles and solves any concerns and questions customers may have or relays guest complaints/compliments to the appropriate Assistant Manager on duty.
- Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.
- Perform other assignments as directed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum one (1) year of high volume food service. Table service restaurant experience highly preferred.
- Must be able to carry trays that weigh a minimum of 10lbs. on one arm.
- Ability to deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable entertainment experience.
- Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities in an effort to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals.
- Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance.
- Must be comfortable with wearing short shorts and top that reveals abdomen area.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions including but not limited to; rain, heat, and cold weather.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
- The department operates from sunup to sundown; management expectation is that you must be able to work any shift including weekends and holidays.
Schedules:
- Start times: 10:00am & 12:00pm
- On Call status team members are scheduled 2 or 3 days per week.
- Part Time status team members are scheduled 3 or 4 days per week.
- Full Time status team members are scheduled 5 days per week.
*During daylight savings which starts in November, all team members will work from 10:00am-6:00pm.
*It is mandatory that new hires have complete availability for all shifts during their first two weeks of training.
Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

- The Beach Club is often hectic, fast-paced and at times crowded and noisy.
