About Us
Middle Georgia State University (MGA), a multi-campus, baccalaureate and graduate degree-granting public institution, is the most affordable public state university in Georgia. MGA has five campuses-Macon, Cochran, Dublin, Eastman, and Warner Robins, all located in central Georgia-and global outreach through its fully-online campus. Its enrollment of 8,400 students is largely comprised of students from most of Georgia's 159 counties. The University has six academic schools, including Georgia's flagship aviation program, that support its mission to educate and graduate inspired, lifelong learners whose scholarship and careers enhance the state.
Job Summary
eCampus (Middle Georgia State University) seeks a dynamic, innovative part-time online faculty with a successful track record of teaching Economics courses in higher education.
Responsibilities
A faculty member will be assigned courses, which are taught using D2L Brightspace (GoVIEW), and is responsible in providing quality online instruction/facilitation. Faculty are expected to be available for their online office hours or online chats in addition to being engaged in course instruction and discussions based on the eCampus teaching expectations (as stated in the MOU).
Required Qualifications
Required Educational Qualifications
A relevant master's degree is required (an earned doctorate degree is preferred) with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the field of Economics
Required Experience
A minimum of three years of teaching experience at the undergraduate level, with at least one year of successful online teaching
Experience with online learning and learning management systems
Other Required Qualifications
A commitment to supporting student success in an online learning environment
Ability to convey difficult concepts online in a manner and to actively facilitate student understanding and success.

Teaching assignments could include Microeconomics and Macroeconomics.
Faculty members will need routine access to a computer, either Mac or PC. Middle Georgia State University provides an institutional email account and USG eCampus will grant the access to the GoVIEW. (Learning Management System).
Successful completion of the online eCampus Faculty certification will be required.
