CNC Machining Trainer / Instructor - Flexible Schedule | Full-Time or Contract Opportunities

Summary - CNC Machining Instructor: We are seeking an experienced CNC Machining Trainer to teach and mentor students preparing for careers in advanced manufacturing. This role is ideal for seasoned CNC machinists, programmers, or manufacturing professionals who enjoy sharing their expertise—whether as a full-time instructor or by teaching evenings on the side.

Schedule Options - CNC Machining Instructor

  • Full-Time Instructor: Daytime schedule
  • Part-Time / Evening Instructor: Teach evenings or limited hours alongside your current role. Schedules are custom-built to fit your availability.

Compensation - CNC Machining Instructor

  • Full-Time Salary: $56,000 – $72,000 annually (based on experience)
  • Independent Contractor: $75 – $150 per hour (based on experience and availability)

What You'll Do as a CNC Machining Instructor

  • Deliver hands-on and classroom instruction in CNC machining and related manufacturing topics
  • Train students on CNC mills and/or lathes, including setup, operation, and best practices
  • Teach fundamentals such as blueprint reading, GD&T, tooling, feeds & speeds, and shop safety
  • Support students with real-world machining knowledge and industry insight
  • Adapt instruction to different learning levels and career goals

Qualifications - CNC Machining Instructor

  • Hands-on experience in CNC machining (mills, lathes, or both)
  • Background in manufacturing, machining, CNC programming, or related fields
  • Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to learners
  • Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience is a plus—but not required
