Description: Information Specialist, Ottawa Center, Part-Time
Reports To: Ottawa Center Coordinator
Salary Range: $16.95 to $18.06 per hour based on qualifications and experience; link to part-time benefits on page 2, Benefits At A Glance - Staff
Hours: The ideal candidate for this position must be able to work a flexible schedule, 28 hours per week with an occasional evening or Saturday; weekly schedule to be determined and approved by supervisor.
Position Summary: The chief function of this position is to provide day to day contact for student, faculty, and the community to meet their needs for registration, admissions, testing, and payments at the Ottawa Center.
Qualifications: Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; minimum of one year's office environment experience; general computer skills using an operating system (Windows) and coursework in, or experience with, Microsoft Office software; and ability to safely lift and handle 40 lbs. and work a flexible schedule, occasional evening and Saturday. Preferred: Associate degree in Business, Accounting, or related field; experience in an administrative support position; knowledge of a student information system (Datatel/Colleague, SCT/Banner) or integrated accounting system; and experience in an educational environment.
