The Opportunity:
Are you ready to leverage your expertise in advanced network and security technologies to safeguard our nation and support critical defense missions? As a Network Solution Architect for the Department of War, you'll lead zero trust initiatives focused on software-defined networking (SDN), directly strengthening the resilience of military infrastructure and securing mission-critical operations. In this role, you will implement innovative security measures, close vulnerabilities, and recommend strategies that protect classified data and fortify national defense.
As a key leader, you'll guide a team of engineers to analyze and resolve complex network challenges, evaluate emerging technologies, and drive the adoption of advanced solutions using tools like Cisco ACI, Cisco ISE, and Forescout. By applying zero trust principles, you'll ensure that devices, applications, and users are authenticated and authorized before accessing sensitive systems, reducing risks, and countering evolving cyber threats. Your work will play a critical role in modernizing cyber defense and protecting national infrastructure.
What You'll Work On:
  • Design, develop, and implement zero trust and SDN-based architectures to enhance network security.
  • Lead a team of engineers to identify tools and solutions that mitigate vulnerabilities and strengthen defenses.
  • Implement and configure advanced security tools, such as Cisco ACI, Cisco ISE, and Forescout to fortify infrastructure and detect threats.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide strategic recommendations on integrating emerging technologies for network resilience.
  • Mentor team members while solving real-world challenges to protect military missions.
  • Manage and improve infrastructure and cyber security controls, including detection capabilities and event correlation in large enterprises.

You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience designing and implementing data center fabric solutions using Cisco ACI technology
  • 2+ years of experience with conducting network discovery, including analyzing and documenting system requirements
  • Experience with developing and executing test and implementation plans based on requirements
  • Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical personnel, be detail oriented, and multitask and prioritize
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Security+ Certification

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience leading teams of technical staff in the design, build, and integration of IT solutions
  • Experience designing and implementing Cloud-native and over the top networking in AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience with firewall design and network security, including Device Hardening, intrusion detection systems and intrusion prevention systems, SIEM, Firewalls, and Internet Protocol Security, vulnerability assessment, and intrusion detection
  • Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto Firewalls and F5 Load Balancers
  • Knowledge of designing and delivering Cisco SD-Access solutions
  • Knowledge of implementing Cisco TrustSec policies to enforce dynamic and scalable access control across enterprise networks
  • Knowledge of configuring and managing Security Group Tags (SGTs) to classify users, devices, and workloads for policy enforcement
  • Knowledge of integrating SGTs with network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls to enable identity-based segmentation
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking, prior publications, and speaking engagements in industry or vendor forums

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,900.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
