MEDIA ASSISTANT

Reports to: Director of Media
Position Type: Part-Time

Position Summary:

The Media Assistant supports the Media Director in the day-to-day operation of the church's media ministry. This role manages the scheduling and coordination of volunteers, independent contractors and part-time media professionals, assists with budgeting and production development, and helps plan and execute services, events, and special productions. The ideal candidate is a Christ-centered individual who brings strong organizational skills, sound judgment under pressure, and a heart for serving the church through excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule, coordinate, and communicate with volunteers, independent contractors and part-time media professionals for services, rehearsals, events, and special productions.

  • Assist the Media Director in developing and tracking the production budget, including tracking expenses, processing invoices, and sourcing vendor quotes.

  • Support production development, including planning workflows, sourcing talent/crew, and helping shape new production initiatives.

  • Write, edit, and organize scripts, run sheets, and production documents for services and events.

  • Maintain organized production files, schedules, calendars, and contact records for all contractors and crew.

  • Serve as a point of contact on shoot days, troubleshooting issues and keeping teams on schedule.

  • Collaborate with pastoral staff, worship leaders, and volunteers to ensure media and production needs align with the church's mission and values.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • A committed, growing, Christ-centered faith and lifestyle consistent with the church's mission and values.

  • Experience with budgeting and basic financial tracking.

  • Familiarity with production terminology and workflows (live production, broadcast, and/or video).

  • Strong script writing, editing, and documentation skills.

  • Proven event management and logistics coordination experience.

  • Excellent interpersonal and people skills; able to work effectively with staff, contractors, volunteers, and church leadership.

  • Ability to remain calm, clear-headed, and solutions-focused in highly stressful, fast-paced, or live-production situations.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.

  • Ability to manage multiple schedules, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
