Position Overview

Christ Community Lutheran School is seeking a part-time Elementary P.E. Teacher (Kindergarten–4th Grade).

This role supports students in developing healthy, active lifestyles by engaging them in safe, enjoyable physical activity that builds confidence in their God-given abilities. The teacher also models and encourages Christ-like attitudes, helping students demonstrate respect, integrity, and a spirit that honors God in all they do.


Structure
  • Teaches two 30-minute P.E. lessons per week to each class
  • Serves 10 total classes (two sections per grade, Kindergarten–4th)
  • Assists with daily lunch and recess supervision

Schedule
  • Part-time position within regular school-day hours
  • Monday / Tuesday / Thursday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM (includes 1-hour break)
  • Wednesday / Friday: 11:30 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Built-in time for setup, takedown, and planning
  • No before-school or after-school duties required

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will demonstrate:

  • Active membership in a Lutheran church
  • Experience teaching elementary P.E. and/or coaching elementary-age children
  • Experience in a Lutheran school or ministry setting (preferred)
  • Clear alignment with the CCLS mission, code of conduct, and statement of faith

Candidates active and in good standing on the LCMS Roster will be issued a divine Call.


Compensation
  • Faculty-level position
  • Salary distributed over 12 months
  • Compensation aligned with LCMS Missouri District guidelines (prorated for part-time, academic-year role)
  • Based on approximately 20 hours per week
  • Traditional academic calendar, including summers off

Additional Opportunity

There may be an opportunity to combine this role with a separate Aftercare Manager position to create a full-time role for qualified candidates.
