Now Hiring: Part-Time Ophthalmic Technician

Do you have a passion for eye care and a knack for making patients feel comfortable and cared for? Foley Eye Clinic is looking for a part-time Ophthalmic Technician to join our friendly, high-energy team!

Schedule

This position is part-time, working Mondays and Thursdays from 7:30 AM 5:00 PM. Additional hours are possible to help cover when other technicians are out/on vacation. Youll mainly work at our St. Paul location, but wed love for you to be flexible and willing to help out at our Apple Valley office when coverage is needed.

Please note: This position does not include benefits.


What Youll Do

Youll play an important role in ensuring our clinic runs smoothly and our patients receive top-notch care!
Your day might include:

  • Assisting our doctors with patient exams and procedures
  • Performing technical workups, histories, and special testing
  • Conducting tests like refractions, lensometry, keratometry, OCTs, IOL Master, visual fields, and more
  • Communicating with patients about follow-up care, procedures, and scheduling
  • Maintaining equipment and ensuring a clean, safe workspace
  • Helping wherever needed to keep the day running efficiently


What Were Looking For

Youll thrive in this role if you:

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Completed JCAHPO Certified Ophthalmic Technician requirements
  • Bring 2+ years of ophthalmic or related experience
  • Have a solid understanding of eye anatomy, ocular diseases, and medications
  • Are comfortable performing and explaining diagnostic tests
  • Are professional, flexible, and a true team player
  • Bring a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a compassionate touch
