What is a Salesperson?

Entry level sales position capable of supporting the DIY business and achieve our sales and service objectives. The role has good knowledge of store systems, basic automotive system knowledge and basic part knowledge. The role has the basic ability to source from stores, hubs, pdq, and external suppliers. The role has in-depth knowledge of the store inventory and maintenance processes. Position can be part time or full time. Fleet safety certification preferred.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
  • Achieve personal sales goal and help store achieve its sales goals
  • Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
  • Maintain store product and operational standards
  • Responsible for inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, Back stock, etc.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Store Cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot
  • General stocking including truck stocking and back stock
  • Safely deliver parts to customers as needed

Prior Experience that Sets a Salesperson up for Success

  • 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences

About the Position:

This is an entry-level store position supporting the delivery of auto parts to our valued commercial customers while also assisting with task and inventory processes in the store.

Our Store Drivers are responsible for:

  • Safely delivering auto parts to our valued commercial CARQUEST customers
  • Picking and staging parts for customer orders
  • Picking up returns and cores
  • Dropping off weekly and monthly store sales flyers
  • Daily collection of credit accounts
  • Other related tasks including maintaining store cleanliness and general store and truck stocking

What you bring to the team:

  • Full valid driver's license - You have your full driver's license, maintain a clean driving record and have strong driving and navigation ability
  • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Attention to detail - ability pay close attention to detail, read invoices, understand instructions and correctly pick parts.
  • You are passionate about customer service - It is in your nature to continuously provide exceptional customer service and you're driven to build long-lasting relationships with customers, peers, management, etc.
  • You are a team player - You are dedicated to contributing to a collaborative team with a positive and friendly attitude and contribute to a safe work environment
  • You are interested in the automotive industry - and are ready to learn about auto parts and POS
  • You are reliable - You are a self-starter who is dependable in completing tasks and is responsible with store vehicles and equipment

Compensation Range

The good faith estimate for this role is between 16.40 USD and 17.75 USD per hour for a new team member.

The rate offered depends on a number of factors, including geographic location, experience in retail, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and other skillsets ideal for this position and shift differential (if applicable).
