Job Description

Position Summary
The Night Auditor balances daily financial transactions, verifies guest accounts, and ensures accurate reporting for hotel operations. This role combines overnight front desk responsibilities with accounting duties, providing guest assistance while reconciling revenue, processing payments, and preparing financial reports for management. This position reports to the Front Office Manager.

This position, if full time, will cover both Limelight Aspen and Snowmass locations, 2 to 3 days per week. If part time, the position will cover Limelight Snowmass solely, 2 to 3 days per week.

Essential Job Functions
•    Act as Front Desk Receptionist, Concierge and PBX Operator during this shift 
•    Assist with guest requests and any guest concerns or issues 
•    Run night audit daily processing 
•    Notate and follow up on wakeup calls from the wakeup call sheet 
•    Roll all expected arrivals and no shows to next day
•    Post overnight parking charges 
•    Perform check in and check out duties 
•    Compile and distribute house reports, including arrivals, departure and in-house report 
•    Sort and file daily receipts for all restaurant outlets 
•    Make management aware of guest’s comments and complaints 
•    Answer incoming internal and external phone calls, as well as additional PBX (phone operator) duties as needed
•    Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements
•    Must be at least 18 years of age 
•    High School Diploma or high school equivalent required
•    1 year of customer/ guest experience preferred 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities  
•    Basic industry terminology  
•    Familiar with hotel fire and safety procedures, assisting in emergency and security procedures as directed by management
•    Knowledge of company policies and procedures 
•    Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address guest inquiries and resolve concerns promptly 
•    Strong attention to detail 
•    Active listening and interpersonal skills to personalize the guest experience 
•    Ability to act professional in a fast-paced environment 
•    Ability to understand written and verbal English
•    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 
•    Ability to work effectively in team settings, contributing positively to group dynamics
•    Ability to demonstrate expertise in the technical aspect of the job    
•    Comply with all policies and procedures for the Front Desk department
•    Complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager and assist other departments as business volumes and staff levels demand

Work Environment & Physical Demands
•    Ability to stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time, kneeling and bending may be required
•    Regularly work indoors with no adverse conditions  
•    Must be able to occasionally lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
