Job description

Care Options for Kids connects leading pediatric specialists with families to provide best-in-class pediatric therapy, nursing, and school-based services. We seamlessly integrate into children's lives by bringing individualized care to children where they live, work, and play.
As an Administrative Registered Nurse, (RN) you are responsible for home health coordination to include: contacting MD offices to obtain verbal orders, entering and managing orders in EMR system, contacting MD with significant changes in patient condition or medication clarification that may be needed for therapy staff. RN is also responsible for chart audits to determine compliance with Medicare/Medicaid regulations. At Care Options for Kids (COFK), the RN is expected to be proficient and efficient with use of an EHR system and multiple technological platforms to provide the highest quality of care to the patients and families we serve.

  • Contact Physicians to obtain verbal orders for initial visits and ongoing care.
  • Contacting Physicians with significant changes in patient condition or medication
  • clarification that may be needed for therapy and nursing staff.
  • Entering and managing orders in EMR systems.
  • Chart audits to determine compliance with Medicare/Medicaid and ACHC regulations
  • Maintains confidentiality of all agencies and patient related information.
  • Protects patient rights as defined in the patient Bill of Rights.
  • Maintains proper attendance and punctuality to ensure that the department is operated
  • in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Communicates information effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Attends and participates in staff meetings, required in-services, agency PI activities and
  • other meetings as requested.
  • Utilizes material, equipment and time in a safe, beneficial, and cost-effective
  • manner
  • Organizes workload to complete responsibilities in an appropriate and timely
  • manner.
  • Performs other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Education/Licenses/Certifications:
  • Active Colorado Registered License, or Compact License (DORA)
  • Current CPR certification;
  • Current TB screening upon hire and annually thereafter;
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.
Experience/Requirements:

Wage Range:
