STEPS Recovery Solutions - Lafayette, LA 70506 We have an opportunity for experienced Addiction Recovery Technicians (ARTs) to join our team in Lafayette. We have openings for full time, part time or PRN. The full-time positions that are immediately available are 7 am to 7 pm, 7 pm-7 am.To be considered, you must submit a complete resume with employment dates and specific job duties. No phone calls or in person visits please.Our full-time team members may choose from a full benefit package with medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D, short & long term disability, accident, critical illness, and paid time off options which include sick time, vacation time, 7 paid holidays, and more.You must have the following education, skills and experience to be considered:High School Diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred.At least one year of experience in healthcare, preferably in addiction treatment or behavioral health.Customer service driven with a genuine interest in the well-being of patients.Ability to positively interact and develop rapport with patients and their families, professional support staff and other team members.Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed.Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally.High energy with engaging personality and strong people skills.Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; and participates in meetings.Ability to multi-task and successfully prioritize workload.Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.If you join our team, you'll enjoy the following responsibilities:Assists in supervision of patient activities and always remains aware of patient whereabouts, including during breaks and internal activities.Ensures a safe environment for patients; enforces program rules at all times.Engages patients in therapeutic activities as appropriate and assists with therapeutic and recreational activities.Provides appropriate support and structure for patients in dealing with their recovery.Exercises therapeutic communication skills and takes steps to de-escalate distressed patients.Observes and documents patients' behavior. Notifies supervisor, nursing team and/or clinical team when appropriate regarding signs of medical distress or behavioral concerns.Maintains order and ensures compliance with rules and regulations; ensures that patients conduct themselves in an orderly manner.Ensures compliance with wake-up and bedtimes.Transports residents for any external meetings, medical appointments, etc.Conducts search of all patient bags when being admitted to the facility. Confiscates and secures any contraband found and notifies supervisor and/or other team members when appropriate.Randomly inspects all rooms, common areas, hallways and bathrooms and regularly performs thorough searches for contraband.Other duties as assigned. Job Type: Full-timePay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hourBenefits:Dental InsuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceMedical Specialty:Addiction MedicineSchedule:12-hour shiftWork Location: In person
