Description
Job Purpose:
The outside operations attendant will maintain day to day golf operation at his/her specific facility and work cooperatively with other departments. The position will promote an exceptional "golf experience" and provide excellent services and programs to all our customers.
Duties:
  • Maintain effective working relationships with other employees, management, and all members of the public
  • Adherence to the established policies and procedures of the MGASA
  • Assist with all golf services and operations of their course/s
  • Track and verify that all players and guests register and facilitate proper controls
  • Meet, greet, and welcome prospective customers
  • Adherence to all rules and regulations governing golf course usage
  • Initiate and implement safety regulations and procedures
  • Keep all golf cars orderly, clean, and stocked with pencils, scorecards, sand bottles, etc
  • Assist each customer with golf bags and locating the golf car assignment
  • Ensure driving range is clean and orderly with range balls stocked
  • Operate the picker to mechanically retrieve golf balls on driving range
  • Keep radios open to stay in communication with the pro shop
  • Maintain clean, neat, and orderly staging areas and cart storage areas
  • Assist pro shop with set-up, staging of golf cars, clean up, and any other issues related to tournaments
  • Inform pro shop of any golf cars that are in need of repair
  • Follow proper golf car maintenance procedures and record keeping
  • Monitor and communicate to the pro shop improper golf etiquette, excessive drinking, excessive number of individuals riding in a golf car, non-golfing guests playing, and golf cars being driven in a reckless manner
  • Deliver any lost items to the pro shop to be recorded in the Communication Log Book
  • Check and fill ball washers and water coolers
  • Refill empty sand bottles as needed
  • Check and restock on course restrooms if necessary
  • Return empty range baskets to the pro shop
  • Empty course trash receptacles if necessary
  • Patrol the perimeter of the range to return wayward range balls to the range before picking
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
Skills/Qualifications:
Must have a valid state issued Driver's License
Ability to work with others (Teamwork)
Available to work varied shifts to include weekends and holidays
Ability to drive a golf car
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to multitask
Positive attitude
Golf knowledge preferred, but not required
