Blue Wave Medical Associates | Clearwater, FL

Blue Wave Medical Associates is a growing, highly collaborative pediatric practice seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. We pride ourselves on maintaining an "old school private practice" feel, offering a supportive environment where providers have a voice and are given the time they need to deliver exceptional patient care.


Quick Look:

  • Schedule: Part-Time (approx. 20-30 hours/week) | 2.5 days per week on an alternating weekly schedule. Clinic hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM.
  • Call/Weekends: No on-call requirements. No hospital rounding. Includes 1 to 2 short Saturday shifts per month (9:00 AM - 2:00 PM).
  • Locations: Outpatient clinic in Clearwater, FL.


Practice Overview:

  • Supportive Environment: Work semi-autonomously alongside a highly supportive, on-site Board-Certified Pediatrician, 2 nurse practitioners, and a fully cross-trained and collaborative support team.
  • Broad Scope of Care: Manage a diverse patient panel ranging from newborns to young adults (up to age 24). Enjoy flexible appointment times (ranging from 15 to 45 minutes) to ensure quality care.
  • Clinical Duties: Alongside routine pediatric care, perform newborn exams, administer vaccines, and handle clinical procedures including laceration repairs, foreign body removal, heel stick blood draws, and respiratory treatments.
  • Professional Growth: This is a long-term role designed to accommodate practice growth, offering the potential to transition into a full-time position in the future, as well as opportunities to precept APP students.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Offering a competitive hourly rate with additional benefits package.


Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted Florida license (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Experience: 1+ years of pediatric practicing experience required.
  • Attributes: Strong bedside manner, a relationship-based approach to care, and HIPAA compliance.
