Job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a Part-time Bilingual Bookkeeper for a direct hire opportunity in Camarillo, CA. This role is ideal for an experienced bookkeeping professional who enjoys variety, accuracy, and being a trusted resource across accounting, payroll, HR, and office administration.
The Part-time Bilingual Bookkeeper will support a family-owned agriculture business with day-to-day financial operations, QuickBooks bookkeeping, payroll processing, reporting, and general administrative coordination. This is a strong opportunity for someone who values a consistent part-time schedule, a collaborative work environment, and the ability to make a meaningful impact in a stable, hands-on business setting.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, bilingual in English and Spanish, comfortable working independently, and able to interact professionally with employees, management, ownership, vendors, and outside partners. This position offers flexible part-time hours with a consistent weekly schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks across multiple family-owned entities, including data entry, account coding, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, including entering receipts, processing supplier invoices, generating payments, and tracking cash balances.
- Process payroll, review and validate timecards, track overtime, vacation, and sick time, and reconcile payroll activity to the general ledger.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, including bank reconciliations, journal entries, fixed asset tracking, tax preparation support, and payroll filings.
- Handle HR and office administration duties, including onboarding paperwork, employee records, benefits enrollment support, staff directories, mail, phones, filing, and office supplies.
- Assist with agriculture-related reporting and data entry, including pesticide use reports, harvest and packout reports, soil and leaf tissue analysis data, fertilization plans, and related analytics.
Compensation and Benefits
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Pay: $22 to $30 per hour, depending on experience.
- Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per week.
- Hours can be flexible but must follow a consistent schedule.
- Location: Camarillo, CA.
