Monte Nido Casa Azul, located in South Miami, Florida is a day treatment program exclusively for adults and adolescents seeking treatment for Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, or Exercise Addiction. Monte Nido's treatment approach focuses on the restoration of physiological and nutritional balance, implementation of healthy eating and exercise routines, elimination of harmful behaviors, and development of motivation and treatment engagement. Our objective is to help each client achieve a clear understanding of their eating and/or exercise disorder and its effect on their life, as well as an individualized appreciation of what is necessary for their personal recovery.
The Group Facilitator is responsible for facilitating and implementing group sessions. The goal is for the facilitator to create a safe environment so that all patients feel comfortable in sharing about emotional difficulties. The group facilitator will also need to provide a catalyst for the personal development of the patients.
We are seeking a Part Time Group Facilitator to join our Monte Nido team.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Facilitate group sessions.
  • Facilitate interaction between group members.
  • Maintain awareness of individual client's needs.
  • Facilitate identification and congruent expression of feelings.
  • Document group sessions including patients' progress or lack thereof, problems, concerns and mental status.
  • Follow the format and requirements within the program.
  • Ensure that all documentation related to the provision of direct patient services is completed in a timely manner and in accordance with established policies and procedures and state standards.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff, interns, management and other professional colleagues.
  • Attend mandatory training and in-service collaborations.

Qualifications:
  • Must be actively working on master's degree in social work, psychology or related human services field
  • Licensed (or license-eligible) in a counseling field (e.g., Psychologist, LMFT, LCSW, etc.).
  • Prior experience treating those with eating disorders in a residential or inpatient setting is very helpful.
  • Knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion practices
