Estimating Intern (Part Time) - Denham Springs, LA
Looking to gain hands-on construction experience while still in school? Our Estimating Internship is a great opportunity for college students who want real exposure to residential construction, estimating, and job-site operations—not just filing and busywork.
As an Estimating Intern, you’ll work closely with experienced estimators, learn how projects are priced from start to finish, and see how plans turn into homes.
JOB DUTIES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work side-by-side with a Lead Estimator to build detailed construction estimates
  • Complete quantity take-offs using construction plans and drawings
  • Learn how to identify cost-saving materials, methods, and efficiencies
  • Visit homes under construction to compare estimates with real-world conditions
  • Gain exposure to both office and field environments
  • Support the Production Administration team as needed
JOB REQUIREMENTS amp; SKILLS
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD / AutoCAD Architecture
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • A positive, team-first attitude
  • Organized, motivated, and eager to learn
