Job description

This is a part-time position Monday- Wednesday and Friday (8:00-5:00) but could vary based on the needs of the department.
Job Specific Competencies:
  • Assists in storage, maintenance and retrieval of the medical records and Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  • Manage scanned and indexed images in EHR database.
  • Correctly uses facility communication systems.
  • Assists patients with release of information requests
  • Assists with managing incoming/outgoing faxes to Medical Records Fax.
  • Assists with managing referral requests
  • Assists EHR analysts with end user support issues as needed.
  • Perform chart audits when requested.
  • Communicates with 3rd party vendors as needed.
  • Provides receptionist desk coverage.
  • Follow all JCMG policies and procedures.
  • Assist in Patient Portal Support / Registration

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:

  • Knowledge of medical records
  • Ability to file and maintain patient records, reports, and other correspondence
