Position Summary:
The Employee Wellness Health Coach serves as a mobile ambassador for The School District of Palm Beach County’s Employee Wellness Program. Employed by Mosaic Group, this individual will travel to various school sites and district offices to engage staff in their health and benefits. This position requires in person work during business/school day hours.
This role is highly visible, public facing and requires a "boots-on-the-ground" approach to educate employees, promote district-sponsored health initiatives, and foster a culture of wellness through interactive and fun activities.
Applicant must be very organized and dependable.
Key Responsibilities:
  • On-Site Engagement & Education: Travel daily to assigned District sites to meet with teachers, administrators, and support staff. Provide clear, engaging education on available district health benefits and wellness resources.
  • Behavioral Coaching: Provide group coaching sessions to help employees set and reach health goals, utilizing evidence-based behavior change strategies.
  • Program Implementation: Work in close collaboration with the SDPBC Employee Wellness Team to launch and manage district-wide health initiatives, challenges, and screenings.
  • Fun & Interactive Activities: Design and lead "pop-up" wellness events, such as healthy cooking demos, mindfulness breaks, or stress-management workshops to encourage healthy habits in a school setting. Engage District vendors to accompany you and offer activities such as chair massage and screenings.
  • Benefit Advocacy: Act as a subject matter expert on the district’s health plan offerings, helping employees navigate their benefits to maximize their physical and financial well-being.
  • Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of site visits, engagement metrics, and participant feedback to measure the impact of wellness interventions.
  • Collaborative Strategy: Attend regular planning meetings with the School District Wellness Team and medical carrier to align site-level activities with broader organizational goals.
  • Other Duties: Perform other wellness-related duties as assigned by Mosaic Group or the District Wellness leadership.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Education: College degree preferred.  Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Health Promotion, Public Health, Nutrition, or a closely related health field.
  • Experience: At least 5-10 years of experience.
  • Certification: Must hold a current Health or Wellness Coaching Certification (e.g., NBHWC, ACE, NASM, or equivalent).
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional public speaking and interpersonal skills. Ability to connect with a diverse workforce, from bus drivers to principals.
  • Mobility: Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between multiple locations within Palm Beach County.
  • Attributes: High energy, self-motivated, and creative. You should be someone who can turn a "lunch and learn" into an event employees actually look forward to attending.

Working Conditions:
  • This is a part-time position.
  • Flexible scheduling is required to accommodate different school bell schedules (e.g., early morning faculty meetings or after-school sessions).
  • The role involves significant time spent "on your feet" and traveling between sites.
