Mobile Development Software Engineer
The Opportunity:
As a software engineer, you know that delivering impactful mobile applications requires more than just polished screens and clean UI. It takes the right combination of scalable architecture, platform expertise, secure integrations, performance optimization, and maintainable code to build solutions users can rely on. We're looking for a Mobile Development Engineer like you to design, develop, modernize, and sustain enterprise-grade mobile applications in a fast-paced, agile environment.
As a Mobile Development Engineer at Booz Allen, you'll use modern architectural approaches, native mobile frameworks, and emerging technologies to deliver end-to-end mobile solutions across both iOS and Android platforms. Leveraging your hands-on engineering expertise, you'll analyze existing mobile environments, enhance legacy applications, and develop scalable new capabilities that align with current operational needs and future enhancements. You'll collaborate closely with product owners, architects, QA, DevOps, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver secure, high-performing mobile experiences while continuing to sharpen your skills through new tools, frameworks, and mobile engineering best practices. This position is located in Atlanta, GA.

You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience designing, building, testing, and deploying high quality mobile applications in iOS or Android
  • Experience in leading architecture decisions for new mobile apps products and modernization of existing apps such as Native app architecture, Dependency Management, Mobile applications testing, API integration patterns, Offline data synchronization, Authentication and Security, CI/CD pipelines for mobile, or App observability and analytics
  • Experience with mobile release pipelines using Apple app store or Google Play Store
  • Experience integrating mobile applications with backend APIs, cloud services, and third-party platforms
  • Experience building scalable, user-focused applications, including attention to performance, usability, and maintainability
  • Experience working with collaborative, cross-functional engineering teams to deliver production-ready software solutions
  • Ability to build and maintain native iOS applications using Swift or Objective-C or Android applications using Kotlin or Java
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with Azure and AWS cloud systems with serverless architecture.
  • Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, or modern web application frameworks
  • Experience with cross-platform mobile development frameworks, including React Native or Flutter
  • Experience with AI infused programming such as spec driven development.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale or government technology environments

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
