As of Jul 5, 2026, the average yearly pay for part time analog design engineer in the United States is $186,238.00, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $202,000.00 and $202,000.00 per year, depending on experience, location, and employer.

How much do analog design engineers make?

Analog design engineers typically earn between $80,000 and $130,000 annually, depending on experience, location, and industry. Entry-level positions may start lower, while experienced engineers with specialized skills or certifications can earn higher salaries, especially in high-tech or semiconductor sectors.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Part Time Analog Design Engineer, and why are they important?

A Part Time Analog Design Engineer needs a solid background in electrical engineering, circuit analysis, and experience with analog and mixed-signal designs, usually supported by a relevant degree. Familiarity with industry-standard tools like SPICE simulators, Cadence, or Mentor Graphics, as well as knowledge of PCB design and layout, is typically required. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills help them excel in collaborative and project-based environments. These skills ensure reliable circuit performance, efficient teamwork, and successful project outcomes in a dynamic, often time-constrained, setting.

What engineers make $300,000 a year?

Senior engineers in specialized fields such as software engineering, petroleum engineering, and certain electrical or aerospace engineering roles can earn $300,000 or more annually, especially with extensive experience, advanced skills, and leadership responsibilities. High compensation often involves working in high-demand industries, holding managerial or executive positions, or possessing rare expertise and certifications.

Are analog engineers in demand?

Analog design engineers are in steady demand due to the ongoing need for high-performance analog circuits in electronics, communications, and embedded systems. Skills in circuit simulation tools and familiarity with integrated circuit design increase employability in this field.

How do part-time analog design engineers typically collaborate with full-time team members on projects?

Part-time analog design engineers often work closely with full-time engineers by participating in regular design reviews, sharing progress updates, and utilizing collaborative tools like version control systems and project management platforms. Clear communication and well-defined milestones help ensure alignment and smooth handoffs between team members. Many teams accommodate flexible schedules by leveraging asynchronous communication and documenting design decisions thoroughly, which helps part-time engineers stay integrated with ongoing project developments.

What is the difference between Part Time Analog Design Engineer vs Full Time Analog Design Engineer?

AspectPart Time Analog Design EngineerFull Time Analog Design Engineer
Work HoursLess than 40 hours/week, flexible scheduleTypically 40 hours/week or more, standard schedule
ResponsibilitiesDesign and testing of analog circuits on a project basisComprehensive circuit design, testing, and documentation
CredentialsRelevant engineering degree, experience in analog designSame as part time, often with more extensive experience
Work EnvironmentFreelance, consulting, or part-time roles in industry or R&DFull-time employment in industry, R&D, or manufacturing

Part Time Analog Design Engineers typically work fewer hours with flexible schedules, focusing on specific projects, while Full Time Analog Design Engineers work standard hours with broader responsibilities. Both roles require similar credentials and industry experience, but differ mainly in commitment and scope.

What does a Part Time Analog Design Engineer do?

A Part Time Analog Design Engineer is responsible for designing, testing, and optimizing analog electronic circuits, such as amplifiers, filters, and power management systems, while working on a part-time schedule. They collaborate with other engineers to develop circuit layouts, perform simulations, and ensure that designs meet performance and reliability requirements. Their work is essential in industries like telecommunications, automotive, consumer electronics, and medical devices, where analog signal processing is crucial. Part-time roles may offer flexible hours, allowing for work-life balance or the opportunity to pursue other interests alongside engineering projects.

What engineer makes $500,000 a year?

Highly experienced engineers in specialized fields such as senior hardware or systems engineers, especially in high-demand industries like aerospace, semiconductor design, or tech giants, can earn $500,000 or more annually. These roles often require advanced skills, certifications, and extensive industry experience, and may include bonuses and stock options that contribute to total compensation.
