Carolina ASC, LLC is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our team on a part-time basis, typically working one day per week.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Surgical Technologist looking for a flexible, limited-hours position while continuing to use their skills in a specialized Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) environment.
The Surgical Technologist works alongside our physicians and clinical team during vascular and interventional procedures, helping ensure safe, efficient patient care and the highest standards of sterile technique.

What You'll Do
As a Surgical Technologist, you will play an essential role in preparing for and supporting vascular and interventional procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Prepare operating rooms and procedure suites, ensuring instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterile and ready for use.
  • Assist physicians during surgical and interventional procedures while maintaining strict sterile technique.
  • Anticipate physician and procedural needs and efficiently pass instruments, supplies, and equipment.
  • Perform required counts of sponges, sharps, instruments, and other surgical items before and after procedures.
  • Assist the vascular team with procedures including angiograms, venograms, angioplasty, atherectomy, and other vascular interventions.
  • Participate in pre-procedure setup and post-procedure breakdown and cleaning of procedure rooms.
  • Maintain the sterile field and immediately identify and address potential breaks in sterile technique.
  • Ensure appropriate handling and disposition of specimens.
  • Assist with surgical equipment maintenance, sterilization, and readiness.
  • Monitor procedural supplies and communicate inventory needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation as required.
  • Participate in required competency, continuing education, and facility training.
  • Support ASC quality, safety, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance initiatives.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification required.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and operating room procedures.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a sterile field.
  • Ability to anticipate surgeon and physician needs throughout procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and remain composed in a fast-paced procedural environment.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including prolonged standing and lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of Surgical Technologist experience.
  • Previous experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), outpatient surgery center, vascular surgery, or interventional procedural environment.
  • Experience supporting vascular or endovascular procedures.
  • ACLS certification.
  • Familiarity with ASC quality, infection prevention, and accreditation standards.

  • Additional hours may be available based on scheduling and operational needs
