Job description

Job Type: Part-time (3 days per week), In-person

$30-$35/hour (Depending on Experience)


A Finance & Payroll Coordinator with demonstrated experience utilizing financial management, project management, and payroll software, including QuickBooks, BQE Core and/or Ajera by Deltek. Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles, coupled with the aptitude to quickly learn, implement, and effectively utilize new software platforms and processes.  They work under the supervision of the Finance Manager (FM) maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, processing payroll, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports. They may also be responsible for tasks like data entry and supporting accounts payable and receivable.


Your Essential Contributions:

  • Maintaining Financial Records: This includes updating general ledgers and ensuring accurate data entry
  • Processing Invoices and Receipts: Preparing and processing invoices, reconciling bank and credit card statements, and managing receipts
  • Data Entry and Financial Reporting: Performing data entry tasks, assisting with the preparation of weekly financial reports to provide an analysis of cashflow, and reconciling accounts
  • Supporting Accounts Payable and Receivable: Managing and reconciling accounts payable and receivable, as well as tracking expenses
  • Payroll Processing
  • Organizing and Maintaining Financial Records: Keeping financial files organized and up to date
  • Ensuring Compliance: Adhering to relevant accounting standards and regulations
  • Experience leading the implementation and onboarding of financial and project management software platforms

Qualifications:

US work authorization (Required)

Flexibility to travel in the Greater Boston area

Clear criminal background check (Required)

Minimum 3 years accounting or finance experience (Required)

AEC Project Management/Invoicing software experience (Required)

Education:

A high school diploma or equivalent (Required)

An associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field (Required)

Experience:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Strong proficiency in accounting and payroll software and spreadsheets

 Knowledge of accounting principles.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced atmosphere

Fluent in MS Office and other standard office software
