Job description

Laramie Regional Airport is seeking to hire a part-time (up to 24 hrs./week), non-benefited Airport Operations Specialist. The position will be responsible for the inspection and maintenance of the airfield and Airport facilities, fueling and servicing of aircraft, and providing a first-class experience to tenants, visitors, and community members through excellent customer service.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The ability to complete a background investigation.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Possess a valid driving license.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. 

Desired Qualifications:

  • The ability to lift over 50 lbs.
  • Proficient in multi-tasking and prioritization.
  • Previous experience in an airport or similar type environment.

The Operation Specialists will be responsible for the following:

  • Fueling servicing and towing of aircraft and providing Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting services (will be trained);
  • Performing daily, continuous, and periodic inspection of Airport facilities in compliance with the FAA, PART 139, and Homeland Security;
  • Maintaining daily record keeping including, but not limited to, Part 139 Airfield Inspection Logs, Fuel Quality Reports, Equipment Inspection Logs, and Inventory Control Reconciliation Reports;
  • Maintaining the safe daytime and nighttime operation of the Airport runway, ramp, taxiways, airfield areas, navigational aids and airport lighting;
  • Performing work both indoors and outdoors maintaining facilities and equipment including cleaning, painting, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, vehicle, and other maintenance duties as directed;
  • Issuing Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) reporting airfield conditions;
  • Maintaining proficiency in the operation of snow removal equipment ranging from hand tools to heavy duty airfield snow removal vehicles;
  • Conducting customer service tasks at the Airport and Fixed Base Operator (Cowboy Aviation) including, but not limited to, greeting and assisting flight crews and passengers, baggage handling, car rentals, and other ground support tasks;
  • Handling cash and credit card transactions;
  • Completing all required training programs as assigned by Management;
  • Always maintaining a professional appearance; and
  • Performing other duties of a similar or related level as necessary or assigned.

 Salary Range: $20.00 hour
