Job description

We are seeking an Air Force Supply Planner, to lead the Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) for the U.S. Air Force 638 Supply Chain Management Group (SCMG). This project will provide logistics support services for the U.S. Air Force. This position is full-time, on-site at Robins Air Force Base (AFB), Georgia, working 40 hours per week between the hours of 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM; must be present between core hours: 9:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays and base closure dates.

So, what will the Air Force Supply Planner at Terrestris do?

The Air Force Supply Planner will be a personnel position for the Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) for the U.S. Air Force 638 Supply Chain Management Group (SCMG) contract, providing expert item management and supply chain optimization services to ensure the efficient and effective distribution and sustainment of Air Force assets worldwide. The contractor will leverage in-depth knowledge of supply chain principles, repair procedures, logistics processes, and Air Force budgetary systems to manage items, analyze data, and optimize asset distribution. This includes leading, guiding, and motivating personnel while applying specialized analytical techniques to resolve complex inventory management problems. This position is contingent upon contract award.

What does a typical day look like for a Air Force Supply Planner?

You will:

  • Identify/develop requirements, manage items and execute requirements.
  • Evaluate program efficiency.
  • Validate repair requirements, initiating and managing organic/contract arrangements.
  • Procure items and maintain documentation.
  • Optimize global asset distribution based on customer needs.
  • Analyze data to determine optimal demand planning methods. Resolve complex inventory problems.
  • Prepare reports and briefings for management and customers.
  • Assist Government personnel.
  • Apply knowledge of logistics planning, programming, and budgeting systems.
  • Utilize relevant data systems.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively.

What qualifications do you look for?

You might be the professional we're looking for if you have:

  • A current Secret clearance is required.
  • Authorization to permanently work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Minimum of eight years of experience in Air Force supply chain management, performing similar duties.
