Position Type: Part-Time (Daily work during school year from 2:15pm- 6pm)Education Level: Current College/Graduate work students/ Bachelor's degree.Job Description and Qualifications:Franklin Road Academy's after-school program serves students in grades Pre-K3 through middle school. We are looking for reliable, motivated, friendly people who are enthusiastic about working with children. We need individuals who have had previous experience working with or supervising groups of children in a variety of settings such as camp, classroom, etc. This job provides invaluable experience for those who are committed to working with children long-term (i.e. future educators, counselors, social workers, physical education, etc.). This is also a great opportunity for those pursuing a Master's degree.Responsibilities:Extended Day TeacherWork from 2:15 p.m. to 6 p.m., during the school year (flexible hours - possible to leave at 5 p.m. or only work several days a week)Ability to communicate with children on their levelComfortable assisting children with homeworkSupervise indoor and outdoor gamesPlan appropriate and meaningful activities for studentsAbility to maintain a classroomEffectively implement school mission and guidelines
