Help young people explore STEM, build confidence, and have fun learning.Kids in Tech is seeking energetic, dependable Part-Time Afterschool Program Counselors to support hands-on STEM programs for elementary and middle school students. Program Counselors work alongside Kids in Tech program staff to create a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment where students can explore coding, robotics, engineering, technology, and other STEM activities.This is a great opportunity for high school students, college students, and others interested in education, youth development, STEM, or community service.What You'll DoSupport students during hands-on STEM activities and projects.Help with student engagement, behavior, transitions, and group activities.Assist with program setup, materials, technology, and cleanup.Encourage students to participate, collaborate, problem-solve, and try new things.Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive afterschool environment.Support attendance and other basic program documentation as assigned.Work collaboratively with Kids in Tech staff and follow program and school-site expectations.Participate in required orientation and training.What We're Looking ForWe're looking for individuals who are dependable, responsible, positive, and enjoy working with young people. Previous experience with children, tutoring, camps, afterschool programs, mentoring, or STEM is helpful but not required.Applicants should have strong communication skills, be willing to learn, and be able to consistently report to their assigned program site.Schedule & CommitmentThis is a part-time, school-year position, generally 5–10 hours per week, depending on program and school-site needs. Programs primarily operate during weekday afterschool hours.
