Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a Part-Time Physiatrist (Outpatient Services) to provide high-quality, rehabilitation-focused care in our outpatient setting. This role is ideal for a physician passionate about improving functional outcomes, managing chronic conditions, and enhancing quality of life through coordinated, ambulatory care.


Responsibilities

As a Physiatrist in our Outpatient Services, you will:

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient physiatric evaluations and follow-up care
  • Diagnose and manage musculoskeletal, neurologic, and functional impairments in an ambulatory setting
  • Develop and oversee individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans
  • Collaborate closely with physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and other outpatient providers
  • Perform and/or oversee non-surgical interventions as appropriate (e.g., injections, pain management strategies)
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Support care coordination and smooth transitions between inpatient, SNF, and outpatient services 

THIS POSITION IS Part-time, 5.0 FTE 17.5 HRS PER WEEK

Minimum Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)
  • Active New York State medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • Experience or strong interest in outpatient rehabilitation and ambulatory care
  • Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based practice
