Job Title: Assistant Property Manager (Part-Time)

Reports to: Area Manager or District Manager

Part-time, Hourly, Non-Exempt


Role Summary

The Assistant Property Manager supports the day-to-day operations of the storage facility by assisting the Property Manager and acting as a resource for customers. This part-time, hourly position (8-10 hours/week) plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service, supporting sales efforts, completing administrative tasks, and maintaining facility cleanliness and security. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of stepping in during the Property Manager’s absence when scheduled.


Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales Support

  • Provide outstanding service by greeting customers, answering questions, handling inquiries, and resolving concerns in a timely, professional manner.
  • Support sales efforts by responding to leads, assisting with unit rentals, and promoting products and services.
  • Help ensure store appearance, signage, and customer areas are clean and welcoming.

Administrative and Financial Management

  • Process customer payments, update records, and support daily office tasks such as invoicing, deposits, and filing.
  • Assist in monitoring facility performance, including occupancy, revenue, and customer retention metrics.
  • Support follow-up on delinquent accounts and lien processes in accordance with company policy and legal standards.
  • Help prepare reports and communicate updates to leadership.

Facility Maintenance & Security

  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure the grounds, restrooms, office, and units are clean, safe, and in good repair.
  • Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, cleaning units, removing locks, and general upkeep.
  • Monitor inventory of office and cleaning supplies and assist with ordering when needed.
  • Respond promptly to safety or security issues and escalate as needed.

Team & Leadership Support

  • Foster a positive and motivating work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and goal achievement.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and The Highline Way while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor to support overall facility operations.
  • Act as a resource to peers and floating managers, contributing to a collaborative and productive environment.
  • Support the Property Manager in training new team members and leading by example in customer service and professionalism.
  • Step in to cover the Property Manager’s responsibilities during scheduled absences or high-volume periods, under the direction of the Area or District Manager.
Requirements:
