Job description

Bullock Protection LLC, a leader in private security services, is excited to announce an opening for a part-time Armed Security Officer flex position. This role is essential in maintaining the safety and security of our clients' premises, personnel, and assets. The position requires the presence of the officer on-site and is not eligible for remote work. As an Armed Security Officer at Bullock Protection, you will be integrated into a team dedicated to upholding high standards of security and vigilance.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to ensure security and safety of clients’ properties.
  • Monitor surveillance equipment and report any suspicious activities.
  • Maintain detailed reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of security tools and equipment.
  • Control access points, permitting or denying entry according to organizational protocol.
  • Provide information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote security awareness.
  • Respond to emergencies and alarms by following established protocols.
  • Enforce property laws and regulations, and act in accordance with company policies.
  • Participate in security training sessions and remain updated on the latest security procedures and practices.
  • Work collaboratively with law enforcement and emergency responders when needed.
  • Perform crowd control measures to ensure the safety of all individuals in large gatherings.
  • Assist in the evacuation of buildings during crisis situations.
  • Administer first aid and provide initial response in emergency situations, as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Level 3 Certification Required.
  • Must have approved weapon and duty rig.
  • Proven experience as a security officer or guard is preferred.
  • Knowledge of public safety and security protocols.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.
  • Excellent observation and surveillance skills.
  • Able to provide credible references and pass a comprehensive background check.
  • Physically able to patrol the facility and intervene in security breaches or emergencies.
