Job description

Smith Farms Senior Living Facility in Auburn, IN is hiring part-time Care Staff! We have created an incredible building with our senior’s safety and fulfilling lifestyle in mind, offering assisted and memory care services.

We are looking for friendly, caring individuals who will treat our residents like family! As a care staff and med tech, you will be helping our residents with their daily care as well as assisting with their medication administration. At the same time, promoting their sense of independence and safety. If you are looking for a company to advance with, we can help with that – we are committed to promoting from within.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
  • Passing medication is a primary responsibility along with hands-on care to each resident.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
  • Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
  • Assess for changes in condition and communicate immediately to the supervisor.
  • Administer medications and injections to residents based on medical charts.
  • Following schedule, and assisting residents with repositioning.
  • Follow procedures regarding documenting medications.
  • Utilize good judgment in providing client care and safety.
  • Assisting other team members with their duties.
  • Complete all required documents and charting.
  • Answer call lights and assess residents' needs.
  • Obtain meal trays and assist with eating.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Must be able to work every other weekend.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Every other weekend.
