Position Summary
The Client & Account Manager is responsible for managing and strengthening relationships with assigned schools and districts to ensure high client satisfaction, contract retention, and service excellence. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients and works closely with internal staffing and operations teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
This is a relationship-centered role requiring professionalism, responsiveness, and strong communication. The Client & Account Manager plays a critical role in revenue stability by maintaining trust, addressing concerns early, and supporting contract renewals and growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned school and district accounts
Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with school leaders and administrators
Maintain consistent, solution-oriented communication with clients
Conduct regular check-ins and attend meetings as needed
Account Support & Retention
Address client concerns proactively and resolve issues before escalation
Partner with internal staffing and operations teams to ensure service continuity
Support contract renewals and identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts
Gather and document client feedback and share insights with leadership
Collaboration & Reporting
Communicate client needs, risks, and opportunities clearly to leadership
Maintain organized records of client interactions and key updates
Support leadership with account-related reporting and follow-up
Success Measures
Strong, positive client relationships
High client satisfaction and retention
Reduced escalations to executive leadership
Timely, professional communication with clients and internal teams
Successful contract renewals and service continuity
Qualifications:
Required
Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience
Experience working in K12 education, school-based services, or related environments
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
High level of organization and follow-through
Comfort engaging with school administrators and decision-makers
Preferred
Former teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, or school administrator
Experience in account management, client services, or partnerships
Familiarity with school systems, districts, or charter networks
Eligibility:
This position is open to candidates located in the Washington, DCMarylandVirginia (DMV) area only.
This is a part-time, retainer-based role with performance-based commission. The Client & Account Manager receives a monthly base retainer and earns commission on contract renewals and expanded services for accounts they manage. Commission is paid upon execution of renewals and issuance or receipt of the first invoice. Compensation details will be discussed during the interview process.
