Part-Time Faculty - Fine Arts 3-D GLASS
School of Visual & Performing Arts
Location: Newtown Campus
The School of Visual & Performing Arts is seeking a knowledgeable and committed part-time faculty member to join the Fine Arts area. Qualified candidates will have a strong background in three-dimensional art and a passion for teaching in a higher education setting.
The ideal candidate will possess leadership, technical expertise, and collaborative spirit to advance and modernize the glass program. Experience operating a mobile hot shop and a demonstrated interest in community-engaged teaching and outreach are highly desirable.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's in Fine Arts Degree in Glass, 3-D or Sculpture, or a closely related degree.
  • Teaching experience in higher education, specifically with community college students, and pedagogy.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach foundations-level art 3D courses, in addition to glass blowing, stained glass and glass fusing, and/or other 3-D media.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching in higher education, especially at the community college level
  • Knowledge of the applications of instructional technology
  • Interest in community outreach
