Position Overview

As we continue to expand our footprint, we are looking for a dedicated Part-Time Pharmacist to join our team in Blue Bottle, Calgary and help us deliver the "Mint experience"-thoughtful service, strong collaboration, and care that puts people first. This role involves providing care in a detox-specific setting with a primary focus on individuals experiencing mental health/addiction challenges. The position also requires close collaboration with physicians, nurses, social workers, and case managers as part of an interdisciplinary team. If you bring initiative, reliability, sound judgment, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

  • Patient Care & Counseling:Conduct clinical assessments, manage medication therapy for chronic and acute conditions, and provide comprehensive patient education on prescriptions.
  • Clinical Services:Administer vaccinations/injections, adapt prescriptions, and proactively manage drug therapy to prevent and treat health disorders.
  • Dispensing & Compounding:Supervise and participate in the preparation, packaging, and distribution of medications, ensuring absolute accuracy in dosage, labeling, and storage.
  • Interprofessional Collaboration:Work closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care and streamline transition plans.
  • Drug Information Resource:Act as the trusted clinical drug expert for patients, families, and community healthcare professionals.

What You'll Bring (Qualifications & Skills)

  • Education:Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BScPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
  • Licensure:Active registration (or immediate eligibility for registration) as a Pharmacist in good standing with theCollege of Pharmacists of Alberta (CPAB).
  • Certifications:Must beInjection Certifiedin AB.
  • Screening:Clear Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search (required upon hire).
  • Core Skills:Strong clinical assessment capabilities, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work seamlessly both independently and within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous clinical experience in direct patient care or a hospital setting.
  • Technical proficiency with electronic health records and medication order entry systems (experience withKrollis highly preferred).
  • Compounding experience is an asset
