We are a FedEx Independent Service Provider (ISP) operating in Manhattan. We move fast, hold high standards, and expect our team leaders to lead by example. If youโ€™re dependable, tough, and ready to grindโ€”weโ€™ve got a spot for you.
Position Overview:
Weโ€™re hiring a Business Contact (BC) Manager to handle daily FedEx operations from the Maspeth terminal. This role is part manager, part driver, and 100% hands-on. You'll lead by doingโ€”handling dispatch, managing drivers, solving issues, AND jumping behind the wheel when needed.
This is NOT a desk job. Youโ€™ll work like a FedEx driver daily and must meet DOT physical fitness requirements. We work almost 365 days a hear in any and ALL weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the main contact between our company and FedEx
Dispatch trucks from Maspeth to Manhattan routes and track deliveries
Enforce safety rules, monitor performance, and handle issues fast
Drive delivery routes and assist drivers when short-staffed
Record time sheets and assist with hiring, onboarding, and training
Optimize routes using DRO (FedEx's route system)
Keep trucks up to date on maintenance and DOT requirements
Handle daily check-ins, truck walk-arounds, and compliance checks
Requirements โ€“ DO NOT APPLY IF YOU CANโ€™T MEET THESE:
โœ… Must be 21+ with a valid driverโ€™s license
โœ… Must pass drug test and DOT physical (paid by FedEx)
โœ… Must be physically fit to lift 100+ lbs and handle heavy delivery routes
โœ… Must be able to drive a large step van (P1200+)
โœ… Must be an early riser (6:00 AM start)
โœ… Must be able to work in all weather conditions
โœ… FedEx, UPS, Amazon, or similar experience is a BIG plus
โœ… Mechanical knowledge (for basic truck issues) is preferred
โœ… Leadership, organization, and communication skills are a MUST
