Job description

Evening Janitor

Essential Functions

  • Clean restrooms, hard surfaces, empty trash and replace liners
  • Clean floors and carpets by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, etc.
  • Properly use chemicals to maintain the cleanliness of client sites
  • Use knowledge of chemical safety to maintain any chemicals and supplies on site
  • Maintain positive client relations by displaying professionalism
  • Use timekeeping system, keys, and security codes.
  • Restock and report any needed supplies and equipment repairs to the supervisor, along with any potential hazards
  • Complete non-routine/emergency cleaning as specified by work orders

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Availability to work assigned hours and the ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision
  • Precision and attention to detail
  • Previous cleaning experience preferred.
  • Employees should possess a valid driver’s license, to ensure the ability to travel independently to respective job sites. Certain positions require a valid license to operate company vehicle.

Work Environment

  • The nature of the work is physical, requires uninhibited manual dexterity, lifting, bending, twisting, pushing and pulling 25 pounds repeatedly and up to 60 pounds (occasionally).
  • May be required to work atop ladders and operate mechanical equipment.
  • Work is performed in a variety of conditions, may be exposed to extreme temperatures (0-90 degrees)
