Description

CNC Manufacturing is currently seeking qualified candidates for CNC Set Up Programmers in our Conventional Lathe Department. We are looking for first-shift candidates. Pay rate starts at $35.00/hour depending on skill level and experience. 

Requirements

The Setup Programmer completes setups for Conventional Lathes. Setup Programmers will have the equivalent experience of an advanced machine operator with the ability to maintain production on precision parts. They will maintain quality and safety standards; keep records; and maintain equipment. CNC Manufacturing is willing to provide training for select candidates. There is an opportunity for advancement in this position.


Responsibilities

• Pull all necessary tooling for each job

• Upload and Download programs

• Prove out jobs with the ability to change/adjust the program

• Manual G-code programming

• Create and update set up sheets

• Set work offsets

• Identify, prepare, and load raw materials and work holding

• Use of all inspection equipment, including RAM, Comparator, and CMM

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area complying with all Safety and ISO standards

• Other duties as required


Qualifications & Skills

• Proficient Machine Operator with 2-5 years CNC experience; understanding of common material types and coordinate system

• Basic understanding of GD&T required

• CAD/CAM experience preferred

• Ability to finish bringing any part into tolerance after set-up is complete

• Understand and edit G-code, M-code & programming experience, Mazatrol preferred

• Ability to remove and sharpen most tooling

• Ability to create inspection processes for all parts and qualify bench inspection equipment

• Ability to qualify part to blueprint


Physical Demands and Work Conditions

• Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, talking, hearing, visual acuity

• Moving, carrying, lifting objects in excess of 50 pounds 

• Standing for extended periods of time
